George Michael left behind an album's worth of completed songs - but fans may never get the chance to hear them.
The musician's creative partner, David Austen, revealed the existence of the secret vault of songs.
He said the artist had completed tracks waiting to be released, but he's unsure the 'extraordinary' music will ever be heard.
'There are a few recordings that are extraordinary pieces of writing.
'They are finished, mastered, mixed and they’re sitting there.'
The pop legend died on Christmas Day two years ago after a remarkable career with Wham! and as a solo artist.
But George Michael, who was a known perfectionist, only released two albums with the band and five solo throughout his 35-year career.
It comes after it was revealed in July that the pop star allegedly overdosed on muscle-relaxing party drug GHB two years before his death.
The singer, 53, was found unconscious in a bath tub at his home in Highgate, north London after taking the Class C drug in 2014.
He was rushed to hospital, where his agent said he was having 'routine tests.'
This revelation came just a day after his ex-partner Fadi Fawaz made the sensational claim the Wham! star killed himself on Chrismas Eve 2016.
A coroner concluded he died as a result of natural causes at his country home in Goring-on-Thames, Oxfordshire on Christmas Day.
Coroner Darren Salter also said he suffered from dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and a fatty liver.
But Fawaz, 45, insisted his ex-boyfriend took his own life - following another four attempts to kill himself.
In a series of emails seen by the Sun, Fawaz writes: 'It took five attempts... I'm sick and tired of people asking me what happened on Christmas Day.
